Kids in Madrid

Well, we've been here 6 months now. It's hard to believe. No more lovely green mountains in the distance. We are in the middle of 6 million people. The parks are strictly urban.

And the walk to the doctor's office takes us over 20 lanes of traffic.

And yet what is always so interesting about cities is how all the concrete, steel and glass remain so utterly human.

We miss Collserola, the Plaza del monasterio, the ice cream parlours along the main street, the quiet small streets with their shops and benches. Oh and we miss our swimming pool!

Good luck on your exams and have a lovely summer!

Melissa

Hi Melissa!
Canada was perfect! It was the best travell I have ever done. I've learnt a lot, and I met a lot of people, and now they are my friends. I don't remember exactly how I have to use the blog... I forgot it!
How is all in Madrid? How is your family? How are you?
Here all it's good. On September 14th we start again school, but this year: bachillerato! Darren won't be with us. He was very good teacher like you said. We will miss him. We laugh a lot with him.
Now I'm waiting to start English out of school, in "l'escola oficial d'idiomes", and there's a Sweepstakes. If I pass this Sweepstakes maybe I can start learning English there and prepare me to do the "First" exam... I hope to pass it!
Please answer me if you can!
I will be waiting for your answer!

pd. now, is my English better?

Mireia.
